Seems that using iron tavas and kadhai is old in fashion now.We are more fascinated towards utensils made of aluminium, glass and stainless steel. Using iron tava and kadhai is a great way to improve the iron content of your food and it's also safe metal to use. So is stainless steel and glass. Using aluminium cookware is dangerous as aluminium leaches from the pot or pan, makes it way into your food and finally into your body. Once inside the body , aluminium will neutralize digestive enzymes, increases risk of stomach ulcers. So get that iron pot and tava back on your kitchen rack.
